JAC urges CM

Imphal, December 29 2015:
The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Makhuam (Marangching) village, Tamenglong district has urged Chief Minister O Ibobi to ensure the unconditional release of one Gongchalung Gangmei and immediately resurvey the land affected by railway line construction at Makhuam (Marangching) area.
The JAC has submitted a memorandum to the CM today in this regard.
The JAC said that Gongchalung Gangmei, president of All Makhuam/Marangching Youth, who defends the rights and interest of the village, was arrested by State forces on Dec 23 in connection with a dispute between two parties.
