UDEA appeals

Ukhrul District Entrepreneur Association ( UDEA) has urged
the department concerned for free and fair screening of PMEGP
beneficiaries 2015- 16 to ensure justice to the applicants, reports
Mungchan Zimik.
UDEA secretary V Zingkhai while alleging manipulation
from the influential individual(s) said selection procedures
of PMEGP beneficiaries in previous years were not satis-
factory.
This year, 142 persons who have applied for PMEGP
were given a training by DIC, Ukhrul in different trades and
certificates of Entrepreneur Development programme were
also awarded, V Zingkhai said.
Mentioned may be made that the trainees have their own
established firms/ shops and business.
She urged the department concerned, DIC and bank to
verify the details in order to ensure the benefits reach the
deserving candidates or else PMEGP would be a failure in
the hill districts particularly Ukhrul.
