Imphal, May 26:
Taking cudgels for the college parttime lecturers, Tangkhul Katamnao Long urged the Government to give special preference to these qualified teachers in the coming MPSC interview to bring a solution to the decade old 'part-time issue'.
Maintaining that age for most of these teachers has been barred for employment in other Government jobs, the students' body asked why these teachers should be ignored despite fulfilling all the requirements set by the UGC.
TKL also urged to regularise these long suffered teachers as Government did for 107 part-time lecturers in 2000 .
