TIPS awaits nod on empanelment proposal

Students of the State would gain maximum benefits once the Manipur Government approves the empanelment proposal sent by the Tripura Institute of Paramedical Sciences (TIPS), said Dr S Choudhary, Assistant Professor of TIPS.
Speaking to reporters today at the Manipur Press Club, Dr S Choudhary said TIPS is affiliated with the Tripura University, Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP), Indore.
The institute which was launched in August 2009 has churned out many paramedical professionals.
Not only being a premium institute of the North East, the Institute has conducted clinical classes too in collaboration with Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Agartala besides opening nine streams.
He said five seats each are reserved for Manipur in each stream from the academic session 2014-19.Saying that empanelment proposal has already been sent to the Higher and Technical Education, Manipur, Dr Choudhary said the institute is awaiting approval from the Govt of Manipur to the proposal.
