Snake bite victim saved

Imphal, October 15 2017:
A namely L Sobita Devi (55) of Uripok Polem Leikai, Imphal West was bitten by a venomous snake yesterday at around 5:30 pm .
According to a press release of PRO IGAR (S), on being brought to the unit Medical Investigation Room, the lady was administered anti-snake venom and life saving drugs by Capt Jasbir Singh Dhillon, Regimental Medical Officer of 5 JAK RIF of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) which saved her life .
The timely evacuation and administration of anti-snake venom by the Regimental Medical Officer of 5 JAK RIF pulled the victim back from the brink of death.
The relatives of the snake bite victim were thankful for the timely assistance provided by the Army, the release said.
