'Repair road damaged by flood'

Imphal, July 13 2017:
In a press meet held at the Manipur Press Club, the spokesperson of the Flood Control Coordinating Committee, Lilong Awang Leikai, Md.Habibullah has stated that the road between Lilong Leihaokhong and Oinam Dam Makhong has been badly damaged by the flood and has becomeunusable.
Therefore, the concerned departments of the Govt should mend the road as soon as possible, he appealed.
He also thanked the local MLA Abdul Nasir who had helped when the dyke broke at Lilong Awang Leikai Tera Makhong and appealed to the people to be cooperative in the times of distress .
The Convenor of the Flood Control Coordinating Committee, Lilong Awang Leikai has expressed gratitude to MLA Alhaj Abdul Nasir, social workers of Lilong and volunteers who helped in mending the dykes in Lilong Haoreibi Awang Leikai.
When the Imphal river broke in the morning and water rushed in and around Lilong Awang Leikai, MLA Alhaj Abdul Nasir provided the necessary material like trees, bamboo, ropes, wages for the labourers, refreshment for the volunteers, 3 JCBs, several Tata Trippers and cash.
