G-1 operation launched

Imphal, June 13 2012:
Community for Effective Response Organisation (CERO), a support group of Social Awareness Service Organisation (SASO), launched a campaign for collection of used needles and syringes at North AOC here.
Mutum Yaima, President of CERO informed that used needles and syringes are major factors for spreading HIV and co-infectious diseases like Hepatitis among Intravenous Drug Users (IDUs) .
He also informed that the G-1 operation will be done six times in a year and urged all the people to get help from SASO if they suspected any of their family members are abusing drugs.
