Imphal, May 08 2023:
About 100 trucks which are to bring in essential commodities to the State are currently stranded at Noney along Imphal-Jiribam road due to the curfew imposed by the State Government.
Reportedly, the trucks are unable to reach Imphal though the Government has been relaxing curfew for limited hours due to security reasons.
On the other hand, around 360 displaced Meiteis are taking shelter at the relief camp set up by Assam Rifles and Manipur police at Noney.
About 126 people sheltering at Khoupum relief camp have been evacuated to Imphal by a team of Noney police led by SP N Madhunimai, today.
