Moreh Bn organises excursion

Moreh Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) organised an excursion for the students of NSDC Centre, Moreh from September 5 to 7 .
The excursion was flagged off by Commandant Moreh Battalion, said a press release issued by PRO, IGAR.
A total of 29 boys, 39 girls along with 7 instructors and 2 Assam Rifles representatives are participating in the tour.
The group will visit Loktak Lake, Imphal State Museum, Kangla Fort, Kamjong War Memorial, Imphal War Symmetry and Zoological Garden, it said.
Assam Rifles in collaboration with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Humanism Foundation has established the Multi Skill Development Centre at Moreh.
More than 200 youth of Moreh are being imparted skill development training in fields such as beautician, field technician, computer programme, retail sale and tailoring.
The students displayed great enthusiasm and expressed heartfelt gratitude to Assam Rifles for the initiative, added the statement.
It stated that sincere efforts of Assam Rifles to empower the youth of Moreh is widely appreciated by the local Civil Society Organisations.
