Imphal, August 18 2009:
AMSU today denounced the police action of dispersing students who went to submit a memorandum to the CM to exempt relaxation of the curfew to students yesterday.
Pledging to join every movement of the students in demanding their rights, a statement issued by the information and publicity secretary of AMSU, L Ranendrajit urged the police to respect the students' uniform.
The AMSU statement also demanded the immediate resignation of the CM from his post.
It also demanded punishment against the guilty police personnel involved in the Khwairamband incident of July 23 .
The AMSU also demanded the immediate and unconditional release of the Apunba Lup leaders.
