Rally against rape today

Imphal, July 11 2013:
Pointing out that the frequency of rape cases has been increasing without any fear from the culprits despite the life imprisonment punishment being awarded to the four rapists convicted of raping a woman U-morok trader, Crime Women-Organisation for Indian Crimes Against Women has informed to stage a peace rally on July 12 (Friday) to raise strong voice for awarding similar punishment to all the rapists so as to to eradicate rape occurrences from the State.
A press note of Crime Women has appealed women organisations, NGOs, civil organisations, student bodies and media persons to participate in the said rally.
The rally will start at 10 am from its office at Keishampat and converge at Lamyanba Shanglen, Palace Compound where a public meeting will be organised.
