AR seizes ganja in Nagaland

Imphal, June 07 2016:
Assam Rifles seized 310 kgs of Ganja (marijuana) worth Rs 3 lakh fifteen thousand in the international market,
near Pedi in Peren district of Nagaland being smuggled from
Senapati, Manipur to Dimapur, Nagaland, according to IGAR
(North).
The apprehendee smugglers identified as Povgoalou,19
years, son of Phemi, and Jaju, also 19 years, son of Achue, both
resident of Leii Kadyiiphema village, Senapati district were carry-
ing the illicit ganja in a gypsy bearing Regd Number NL - 01P �
0926, which was intercepted by Assam Rifles troops by establish-
ing a mobile vehicle check post between Pedi and Benreu, the
IGAR(N) added.
