The long awaited new National Highway connecting the two Zeliangrong towns of two North East States namely Tamenglong in Manipur and Peren in Nagaland via L Pabram has been accorded in principle approval by the Ministry of Road, Transport and National Highway under the leadership of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, conveyed a press release issued by secretary of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Tamei Mandal .
It stated that the National Highway would be convenient for the people of Zeliangrong residents in both the areas and a big corridor for trade and commerce which would subsequently boost the economy of the inhabitants in both States.
The BJP Tamei Mandal expressed gratitude to the Union Minister and CM of the State for approving the road in-principle .
The Mandal further lauded MLA Samuel Jendai, ex MLA and vice Chairman of HAC Z Kikhonbou Newmai, Col Indian Army DPK Pillai for their tireless efforts to open the Highway which was approved as a plan.
