AR gift benches and tables to Phaiphengkot School

29 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector Assam Rifles, under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) is leaving no stone unturned in helping the villagers of remote areas in running schools and spreading quality education.
Recently, the Commandant 29 Assam Rifles gifted five pair of desk and benches and a pair of tables to Phaiphengkot School, where students initially used to sit on the ground and did not even have basic facilities like desk and benches.
Commandant 29 Assam Rifles, presented the furniture to Phaiphengkot Chief, M Mangkhothang Haokip after a lecture on lemongrass at Joupi on March 25.Speaking on the occasion, the chief of Phaiphengkot village lauded the Assam Rifles for the initiative taken up for the welfare of the students and the people.
Phaiphengkot is the only village with a school among three villages namely Hengkot, Phaiphengkot and Theijam.
The said school has a strength of 25 children and two teachers.
Officer Commanding Hengkot post was invited for the inauguration of newly renovated school at Phaiphengkot on March 31 .
