Pre-recruitment training held

12 Bihar of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis Hqs IGAR (S) conducted a pre-recruitment training for the youth of Manipur at Mayang Imphal today.
The effort was a part of a drive initiated by the Army to engage the youth of remote regions for a career in armed forces and to harness their energies into the right direction, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S).
The pre-recruitment training being organised at Mayang Imphal is for duration of three months, wherein the unemployed youth of Mayang Imphal and adjoining villages are being imparted guidance on physical, written and medical test that are conducted by the Army during recruitment.
The event evoked a massive response and was attended by 65 youths of Mayang Imphal and adjoining villages.
The daily training schedule constituted of an endurance run in the morning followed by chin-ups, beam, balancing and strengthening exercises.
Special emphasis is being given on preparation for the written examination, added the press release.
