International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Manipur State Branch and the Indian Psychiatric Society, Manipur State Branch jointly observed the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking at the Hotel Classic on June 26 .
A CME program, "Think health, not drugs", was held wherein Dr N Biplop Singh, Dr S Gojendra Singh and Dr H Angomacha Singh spoke on management of alcoholic hepatitis, management of alcohol withdrawal syndrome and the role of Baclofen and Naltrexone in long term managemnet of alcohol dependence, respectively.
An estimate of 40 doctors were present for the CME, said a statement.
Meanwhile, the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking under the theme "Think Health, Not Drugs" organized by ICDS Project Jiribam was held yesterday at the office of Jiri Ima Meira Paibi Apun Lup, our correspondent reports.
Secretary of Panchayat Parishad Jiribam, Th Ibomcha, CDPO of ICDS Project Jiribam Anima Roy, president of JIMPAL Th Jini Devi graced the occasion as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
