Imphal, March 26:
One Ngamjathang Haokip (50) s/o (L) Sokholet Haokip of S Bongyang village suffered serious injuries in a landmine blast at a terrace field near his village on March 24 afternoon.
S Bongyang lies about 8 kilometres west of Molcham police station.
The landmine was reportedly triggered while Ngamjathang was on his way to collect/cut timber and bamboos for construction of a rest (thatched) shed.
Ngamjathang sustained bomb splinter injuries in the both the limbs.
