CCpur DH facing oxygen crisis

Churachandpur District Hospital is presently facing oxygen crisis for the 15 Covid-19 patients in its isolation wards.
In spite of the District Hospital requiring 29 B-type and D-type oxygen cylinders, it has not been supplied by the authorities concerned, while all of the oxygen it had in stock has been exhausted.
Briefng media persons on Tursday, CCpur DH medical superintendent Dr Van-lalkungi said that one patient requires two D-type oxygen in a day, but there has not been enough stock.
She informed that a requisition for oxygen cylinders was sent on Tursday, while admitting that it had not been cleared as yet.
She also expressed uncertainty over the quantity to be allotted by the authorities.
Dr Vanlalkungi revealed that she has requested for at least 40 D-type, 20 B-type oxygen cylinders and 20 oxygen concentrator.
There are 15 patients in the district hospital in the isolation wards all in need of oxygen, she added.
