Veterinary camp

11 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organized a veterinary camp at Chawangphai, Moreh on March 4 .
The camp was organised with an aim to provide medical care to domestic animals in and around Moreh as there are no veterinary facilities in the area.
Veterinary staff of 3 Dog Unit Hospital extended assistance to the AR.
A total of 878 animals received treatment.
Medicines were also distributed free of cost.
On the other hand, 45 Assam Rifles of HQ 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) conducted a medical Camp at Takhel village, Imphal East district on March 5 .
The camp was conducted under 'Op Sadbhavana' programme.
Altogether, 227 villagers were treated by medical team led by the Medical Officer of 45 Assam Rifles.
A lecture on AIDS and STD was also conducted for the benefit and general awareness of the villagers.
The villagers also appreciated the Assam Rifles for conducting the free medical camp.
