Guru Pujah promotes peace, harmony: CM

The 23rd All Communities Guru Ningshing Palan (Guru Pujah) was observed on Friday at Thangmeiband Yumnam Leikai in Imphal West.
The function organised by the Suryabara Sana Kala Kendra, Thangmeiband Yumnam Leikai was attended by Chief Minister O Ibobi, Padmashree awardee and former Principal of JN Dance Academy Kh Thouranisabi, and SDO of Thoubal district Ng Noren and Upendra as the chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.

In his speech on the occasion, CM Ibobi stated that art, culture and literature are the mirror of a society and praised the rich art and culture of Manipur.
He said the tradition, faith, dress and food habits of a particular race or group are well depicted in its literature, art and culture.
Ibobi also expressed happiness for inviting him to the function and called on everyone to uphold the annual event which aims to promote peace and harmony among all communities in the State.
