Bloody Phanek wins Special Mention Award

A documentary film, "Bloody Phanek", directed and produced by Sonia Nepram, has won the Special Mention Award at the recently concluded SiGNS Festival in Kerala.
The film depicts how women use Phanek as a medium of protest where it has been considered as impure in the society.
A statement released by Yelhoumee Pictures conveyed that "Bloody Phanek" will be screened at Kathmandu Mountain International Film festival in Kathmandu Nepal and at the Pakistan International Mountain Film Festival in Islamabad, Pakistan in December and in January 2019, the film will be screened at the Peloponnisisos Documentary Film Festival in Greece.
