Six UG cadres arrested

A team of Imphal East district police commandos arrested one KCP (Lallumba) activist identified as Potshangbam Leibakchao Meitei (43) s/o (L) Amuyaima of Pukhao Terapur from Pukhao Terapur yesterday around 9.30am.According to an Imphal East police statement, one 9mm pistol loaded with two live rounds in the magazine and one mobile phone were recovered from the arrest man.
The cadre left 7MR Khabeisoi in January this year.
He joined the outfit through one SS finance secretary of the outfit, Athokpam Inaoba alias Johny (35) s/o A Apabi of Pukhao Terapur Dolaithabi Parking in January this year.
In another instance, combined troops of Imphal East police commandos and 18 Sikh arrested three active members of KCP (Taibangnganba) group today around 9.30am.The IE police statement, without mentioning the place of their arrest, identified the three activists as Haobam Ibomvha alias Inaoba (30) s/o H Shamu of Yairipok Khoirom Mamang, presently staying at Kabowkching Khunou; Laishram Anjana (31) w/o Th Rojendro of Khurai Thangjam Leikai and Sanasam Ibethoi (34) w/o S Thamcha of Thoubal Wangkhem presently staying at Nambol Kabowakching Khunou.
Two mobile phones and a photo copy of work order addressed to Ng Roshan, Contractor CPWD of Singjamei Chingamathak issued by EE of CPWD for the construction of 100-bedded hostel at SAI, Utlou and a detail profile of Ng Roshan were recovered and seized from their possession, the statement said.
The three persons admitted that they are working under the command of one SS general secretary, Taibangnganba of the outfit.
Meanwhile, troops of 9 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector apprehended one activist each of KCP and UNLF outfits from Moreh Ward No.4 where search operation was launched on June 26, informed a PRO IGAR (S) release.
The KCP activist has been identified as SS Pvt Lalboy (36) s/o Lian Muang of Moreh Ward No 4 and the UNLF activist as SS Capt Laishram Leiching N Singh (230 s/o L Punpi Singh of Moreh WN 7 .
Both individuals along with one .32 pistol with magazine, one 9 mm pistol with magazine and four live rounds recovered from their possession, have reportedly been handed over to Imphal West police station.
