AR conducts lectures on importance of sports, anti-Dengue measures

Imphal, August 26 2018:
Moreh Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) conducted a lecture on "Importance of Sports" at Chikkim village in Tengnoupal district today.
A total of 34 villagers (10 males, 17 females and 7 children) attended the lecture.
The aim of the lecture was to make the local populace aware about the importance and benefits of sports as daily exercise of an individual.
During the event example of various great sports personalities of the State/India were discussed.
The participants appreciated the initiative of the Battalion.
In a separate event, the Battalion also conducted a lecture on Anti dengue measures at T M Zomunnuam village in Tengnoupal district.
The lecture was taken up by Regimental Medical Officer of the unit.
The aim of lecture was to make the local populace aware about the, common diseases like Malaria, Dengue and swine flu etc prevalent during rainy season.
The villagers were advised to keep their surroundings clean and maintain good hygiene and sanitation practices.
66 villagers participated in the event.
The villagers appreciated the initiative of the Moreh Battalion.
