Imphal, July 24:
Giving more teeth to the ongoing public agitation, State BJP unit has announced its decision of launching a �mass democratic and peaceful movement� for repealing imposition of Disturbed Area Status under Armed Forces Special Power Act, 1958 from Manipur on July 26 at the capital city here.
A decision to this effect was arrived at during an emergency joint meeting of its office bearers and invitees at the Old Lambulane party office today, party spokesman Chingtham Bijoy Singh informed in a statement.
A joint meeting of all the State executive members has also been called on July 25 at 11 am to discuss the modalities of the proposed agitation as well as for success of the movement, he added.
