Khadga abducted for ransom

Ram Khadga Bahadur who was stabbed and abandoned at Thoubal Moijing was reportedly abducted and assaulted for a ransom of Rs one lakh.
Speaking to media persons at Shija Hospital today, Ram Khadga said that he was returning to his rented house at Lalambung from Prakash Medicos when he was abducted by three persons who came in a Maruti van in the night of April 17.Ram Khadga is working as a salesman at Prakash Medicos.
The abductors took Ram Khadga to an interior place and demanded Rs one lakh as ransom.
At this, Ram Khadga said that he had no such amount as he was working as petty salesman.
After hearing Ram Khadga's response, the abductors reduced their ransom amount to Rs 80,000, and then Rs 70,000 and finally Rs 40,000.Then all of a sudden, one of the abductors hit Ram Khadga with a club at the impact of Ram Khadga fell on the ground.
In the next moment, he was stabbed on the abdomen.
As soon as the knife was pulled out from his abdomen, Khadga brushed aside the knife and ran away.
He was found by some fishermen next morning.
It was from them Ram Khadga knew he was at Thoubal Moijing.
In connection with the incident, Ram Khadga's wife Gita Khadga lodged a case at Imphal police station in the night of April 17 itself.
