Imphal, May 10 2018:
Around 20 metres of Imphal-Jiribam highway sank this morning near Makru Bridge on account of heavy rainfall during the past 3/4 days.
Even though almost one half of the highway's breadth has sunk over a length of 20 metres/light vehicles are still allowed to move through the same portion.
However, loaded heavy vehicles have been prohibited from crossing the sunken portion, according to information received from the National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation.
