AR saves life

Imphal, February 09 2019:
Senior Medical officer of Tengnoupal Battalion administered prompt first aid to a two year old child of Chelep village on February 6 and saved her life.
A statement of IGAR South conveyed that the child was rushed to the Unit hospital of Tengnoupal Battalion with critical burn injuries by the mother.
The mother of the child intimated that the child was playing around a transformer when it caught fire because of short circuit and the child being in proximity got burnt by the fire.
The child identified as Boinu Mate, d/o Khailen Mate was in agony because of severe injuries which were upto 40 percent deep burns On her back, chest and arms.
The senior medical officer subsequently referred her to burn ward of RIMS/JNIMS.
The timely and swift actions taken by the Tengnoupal Battalion helped in saving the precious life of a child.
The senior medical officer with his expertise in medical field administered effective treatment which provided relief to the girl child and enabled her to be evacuated to Hospital of Imphal.
The village authority of Chelep expressed their gratitude to Assam Rifles for saving the little girl.
