Train hits man

Jiribam, October 06 2022:
In a very rare and unfortunate incident, a 36-year old man lost his right leg after he was hit by a train.
Thongam Jekison s/o Thongam Joyraj of Kadamtala was crossing the railway track when a train coming from Silchar to Jiribam hit him at around 6.30 pm today.
As Jekison was run over by the train, his right leg was severed.
Even though a team of police arrived at the scene soon after and the victim was taken to Jiribam Hospital, the details of the incident could not be ascertained till the time of filing this report.
