Imphal, September 03 2011:
Governor Gurbachan Jagat has extended greetings to the people of the State, especially to the teacher community, on the occasion of Teachers' Day.
In his message, he said, "While celebrating Teachers' Day, the teacher community, who play the vital role in moulding the character of students who will finally shape the destiny of the nation, should resolve that they would strive to sensitize the young minds to the value systems.
They should also make earnest and sustained efforts to nurture their respective institutions into sacred temples of excellence and also make the task of nation building a central agenda of educational activities" .
