Imphal, April 30 2014:
Volunteers of People for Animal, Thoubal assisted by a police team seized a limb (thigh) portion of venison from an elderly woman vegetable vendor in Dingku Road at around 6 pm today.
The wildlife meat seller was, however, not taken into custody as she lost consciousness and fellow vendors insisted they would take care of her medical needs, if any, informed a PFA Thoubal member adding that the seized meat of the slaughtered animal would be handed over to Forest Department authorities tomorrow.
