Closure of MU's A-Block threatened

The Manipur University Students' Union Revival Demand Committee (MUSU RDC) has threatened to close down the Administrative Block of MU if the authority concerned continues to brush aside the demand for MUSU revival.
Speaking to reporters today, MUSU RDC Convenor, Suresh Meitei strongly denounced the alleged negligence of the MU authority to the appeal for reconstitution of MUSU in the interest of the students.
The MUSU RDC had on January 27 last urged the EC members, nominee of the Visitor and VC of Manipur University to review the suspension of MUSU, Suresh said.
Strongly denouncing the alleged negligence to the appeal, the MUSU RDC convenor warned all employees of the A-Block to refrain from attending office.
He further warned that concerned staff and employees of A-block should be held responsible for any outcome arising out of any step against the dictate.
Further, any such staff or employee would be construed as violator of students' rights.
MUSU has been suspended since April 29, 2009.The MUSU RDC has spearheaded series of agitation since the last few months demanding the revival of MUSU.
