Imphal, January 27 2017:
The All Inpui Students' Union (AISU) has condemned the lack of proper infrastructure, ill trained physicians and erratic office attendance at the Haochong Primary Health Centre.
A press release issued today by AISU stated that on January 24 a pregnant woman lost her baby because of the absence of doctors and the nurses available could not deliver the baby and was referred to Imphal which is 70 kms away from Haochong.
Due to its remoteness, lack of proper transport and communication, the people of Haochong depend soley on this health centre, it stated.
The AISU called on the State Health Department and district authority concerned to provide proper and immediate solution.
