SBI donates TV sets to Homes

State Bank of India donated two Television Sets� one each to Children Home and Observation Home, Takyel today.
The Television sets were handed over by Lunkim Thangboi, Assistant General Manager, State Bank of India, Regional Business Office, Imphal to L Ibobi Singh, Director, Social Welfare Department, Govt of Manipur and Th Joychandra Singh, Deputy Director, Social Welfare Department, Govt of Manipur at a simple function held at Takyel.
Speaking at the occasion Thangboi highlighted that children hold a special place in our society as they will become the future of a society.
He also stated that State Bank with a network of 33 branches and 120 ATMs has the highest presence in the State and the bank has been instrumental in enabling several entrepreneurs, unemploy- ed youths lead successful businesses.
Besides lending to salaried class, the bank also caters to the poorer and weaker sections of the society with different loans like PMEGP, Kishan Credit Card, Weavers Credit Card, loans to Self Help Groups etc.
L Ibobi Singh expressed his profound gratitude to State Bank of India for coming up with such a noble gesture and expressed hope that such noble venture will continue.
Later after the function Thangboi distributed sweets to the inmates of the Children Home.
