Thoubal, July 05 2022: Joint Action Committee Against the Brutal Killing of Shri Laishram Naba Meitei has appealed to the concerned department to apprehend the perpetrator responsible for the death of Laishram Naba Meitei on the evening of July 3.Laishram Naba Meitei was mowed down by a car along the Trans Asian Highway 102 near his residence at Kiyam Siphai Khundongbam Leikai, a statement has informed.

The statement added that the driver of the car did not stop and sped away after hitting the deceased.

As such the JAC has demanded prompt action from the relevant authority in this matter and cautioned that they will proceed to launch a series of protests in case of inaction from the Government's side.
