Assam Rifles celebrates vigilance week

In view of the celebration of vigilance week, Singhat Battalion of Churachandpur Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) conducted a series of activities for spreading awareness about Central Vigilance Commission and responsibilities as citizens towards the Nation.
The week started with an oath ceremony by all ranks followed by a small lecture, conveyed a press release issued by PRO, IGAR.
At the onset of week, weapon display, lecture on awareness on corruption as part of Ekta Diwas was also organized at Khuga Company Operating Base (COB) on October 27 for Hebron Orphanage of Pangzawl village, Churachandpur district.
A total of 70 students attended the programme.
Stationary items were distributed at St John School, Zezaw village, Churchandpur district and a drawing competition was conducted.
A total of approximately 100 students including teachers participated.
