Imphal, June 20 2013:
A concrete bridge constructed over the Khuga Canal on the east caved-in today near Bohlui village under the weight of a truck, causing minor injuries to at least two of the truck occupants, reports our CCpur correspondent.
The concrete slab was built sometime in 2006-07 by the IFC department over the irrigation canal as a passage for Bohlui village that is located behind the canal.
Villagers said the bridge collapsed as a Shaktiman carrying stones for construction of the village Church was moving over it.

The truck bearing registration number MN02A 5264 is owned by one Thangchinlal of Mualpi village while the two injured occupants were identified as Pautinmang of M Semol and Thanglunlian of Kualsan village.
