Liquor seized at Jiribam

Jiribam, October 16 2011:
Troops of 22 Assam Rifles during a frisking drive at Tatbung Outpost along NH-37 seized 540 cases of Indian made foreign liquor worth Rs 14 lakhs from an Imphal bound truck (MN-06T/0263), reports our Jiribam Correspondent.
The liquor was illegally brought in by one Premjit (43) s/o Tomba of Lamlong in Imphal East.
The liquor was concealed under 124 cases of packaged drinking water and packets of crackers.
The seized liquor has been handed over to excise outpost at Gularthol.
