Chiulon reaches breeding ground in China

Imphal, May 14 2020:
Chiulon, an amur falcon, which was tagged with satellite radio transmitters by the State Forest Department and Wildlife Institute of India (WWI) to study its migratory route has reached a breeding ground at North East China on May 12 .
As per a report from WWI, Chiulon reached the city of Baicheng which is in the north western part of Jilin province, People's Republic of China, bordering Inner Mongolia to the North, on May 12 after spending the winter at South Africa.
Two other amur falcons tagged with satellite radio transmitters Barak and Irang are currently roosting at Odisha and Southern China respectively.
