Medical camp conducted

Keithelmanbi Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) conducted a medical camp and a program for screening of childhood diseases at DM English School, Keithelmanbi today.
A total of 200 students were screened for any congenital abnormalities, nutritional deficiencies, skin diseases apart from basic health and dental checkup.
90 students were treated during the camp and were provided with free necessary medicines, by the Regimental Medical Officer of the Battalion.
A lecture on personal hygiene was also conducted for girl students in order to impart knowledge about health and hygiene.
The school management was provided with basic first aid kit and medicines.
The school authorities and students expressed extreme gratitude to the unit for the endeavour and requested AR to conduct similar camps in the near future for benefit of the people as well as the community.
