NIT chief meets CM

National Institute of Technology (NIT), Imphal's chairman YS Rajan, who is also an ISRO scientist, called on the chief Minister O Ibobi Singh today and held wide ranging discussions related to infrastructure development and opening of Civil Engineering course at the Institute from the next academic session.
According to a source, the CM asked the NIT Chairman to initiate all relevant process for expeditious development of infrastructure at the Meitei Langol campus of NIT as the present NIT campus at Government Polytechnic, Takyelpat would be unable to cope with increasing number of students from the next session.
Third batch students are currently pursuing studies in electronics, electrical and computer science at the Takyelpat campus, said the source.
