WY tablets seized

A combined team of 43 Assam Rifles, Moreh Police and commando, were able to seize WY tablets worth around Rs 2.4 crore from near New Champhai village, Tengnoupal today.
According to a reliable source, the combined team were conducting area domination operation at New Champhai area at around noon today when they spotted a suspicious individual on a Kenbo bike (Burma vehicle) carrying a satchel/bag.
The team signalled him to stop but immediately he got off the bike, dropped his bag and fled into the hills thus evading capture by the combined team.
However, when the team checked the bag, they found that it contained around 80,000 WY tablets worth around Rs 2.4 crore, the source mentioned, adding that the seized drugs and the bike were later handed over to Moreh PS .
