Farmers flagged off

Imphal, November 29 2014 :
A total of 39 farmers of the State have left Imphal today to attend a four-week training programme at NER Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute, Sonitpur, Assam.
The State farmers including six woman farmers were flagged off from Agriculture Directorate, Sanjenthong by Director S Gunija Devi and Addl CE K Manoranjan.
The farmers would undergo U1 level course (Appropriate mechanisation technology for energy management in agriculture) at the institute.
The Dept had also sponsored woman farmers for a training programme at the institute last month.
