Imphal, November 23 2011:
Aimed at reviving age-old ties amongst various communities settled in the State All Tribes Development Committee, Keirao kendra organised Chaknou Tamba programme at Kapursungba village today.
Located at the foothills of Baruni Range Kapursungba village hosted the Chaknou Tamba event, which literally means community feasting out of the year's harvest.
The event was participated by over 1000 people belonging to the Meitei, Hindu, Christian and Muslim community who brought fresh vegetables and fruits along with rice from which the food was prepared.
Social worker K Thamarjit was also among the many participants.
