III tier training prog held

S Kula Women’s College, Nambol, under the guidance of Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation and Central Ground Water Board (CGWB), North East region organised a III tier training programme on “Water Quality Issues and ground Water Stress Areas” at the conference hall of the College today .
Additional Chief Engineer, IFCD Y Jugeshwor Singh, Regional Director CGWB, NER Dr Utpal Gogoi, CGWB, NER Scientists Dr Khanikar, Dr SS Singh and Co-ordinator of Human Rights Studies Centre Dr L Muhindro attended the programme as dignitaries .
Dr Kanikar, Dr SS Singh, Geophysicists of the State Dr K Rajen, Dr RK Chingkhei of Forest and Environmental Science, MU, Seismological Observatory, MU Scientist Dr Manichandra and PHED Chief Chemist S Debenkanta elaborated on the topic to the trainees .
Y Jugeshwor highlighted the importance and benefits of underground water of the State and urged all to clearly understand the issue of water scarcity and its natural solution.
