The proscribed PREPAK has clarified that it imposed no restrictions on passenger bus service along NH-39 though certain restrictions were laid down against transportation of goods on buses on the same route.
A press release issued by the outfits Red Army, Highway Task Force commander Raj Meitei called upon all bus owners and drivers to move freely along the highway carrying only passengers.
However, some of these buses have been transporting goods in the name of carrying passengers in connivance with non-local traders.
Reiterating that the outfit imposed restrictions on transportation of goods only, it accused the president of the All Manipur Inter State Bus Owners Association of misinforming the public by stating through the media that PREPAK imposed restrictions on passenger bus service along NH 39.
