Pseudoephedrine tablets seized

A combined team of SHQs Aizawl troops of 162 battalion Border Security Force and Special Narcotics, Aizawl apprehended one Indian National from College Veng, Aizawl in possession of 1,98,000 units (40kg) of Pseudoephedrine.
The value of the seized drugs would amount to RS 33,66,000 in the international market, a statement issued by the PRO, FTR, Hqs BSF, Mizoram & Cachar informed.
The seized items along with the apprehendee, identified as F Sangthanaga, are under the custody of the Special Narcotics, Aizawl.
BSF spokesperson Satish Budakoti, Deputy Inspector General, Hqs BSF, Mizoram and Cachar Frontier said the tablets were smuggled from Delhi to Aizawl by road via truck for smuggling into Myanmar.
These tablets are of high demand in Myanmar, it said.
