Plogging by NCC Group Imphal as a part of Swachhta Pakwara

As part of SwachhtaPakhwada from 01 to 15 Dec 2019, NCC Group Imphal has been conducting various programmes wrt cleanliness & hygiene awareness.
These include awareness rallies, debates, NukkadNatak, shramdaan, talks on personal hygiene and discussions on how people can keep their locality, village and the city clean.
On 07 Dec 19 , a special event called Plogging was done which literally translates into "picking up litter while jogging".
Plogging is a modern world wide phenomenon wherein individuals or groups combine physical fitness with cleaning up the neighbourhood.
A total of 229 cadets, 25 ANOs, CTs and PI staff along with four officers started Plogging from NCC gate and covered the areas of Thangmeiband, Cheroiching, Assembly road, ISBT road, BOC and DM College campus.
While Plogging, the cadets spread the message of a clean and green society and advised public on the dangers of plastic waste.
They also appealed to one and all to place cardboard boxes outside their shops for waste disposal.
At Cheroiching, the cadets paid their respects to the four famous freedom fighters of Manipur who fought the British and took a pledge for spreading the message of cleanliness and good hygiene.
