AR medical aid to snake bite victim

Imphal, June 05 2010:
The medical team of 21 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) timely saved the life of a man bitten by a venomous snake on 04 Jun 10.The victim named Mr Shalla age 25 years of Waikhong village, Thoubal district was brought to the Unit Hospital by his relatives in a critical condition at around 0415 pm.
The victim was immediately attended by Medical officer and administered life saving anti snake venom.
The individual was referred to RIMS for further management after his condition was stabilized.
The relatives of the victim thanked the Assam Rifles for its timely medical attention which saved the life of their dear one.
