Rail blockade would not affect rice supply in State: FCI
Source: The Sangai Express
Imphal, October 22 2014:
The blockade of the railway line leading to Jiribam due to the Railway Mega Block would not affect rice supply in Manipur, said General Manager FCI Regional office Manipur Ksh Thoiba.
Thoiba was addressing a press meet at his office chamber at Old Assembly road, today.
He further stated that the FCI has rice stock enough to last 45 days at its godown.
There will always be adequate supply of rice despite prolonged bandh and blockade if the plan for construction of more IFC godowns in the State materialises.
