CNPO endorses UNC bandh

Chandel, June 16 2014:
Chandel Naga People's Organisation (CNPO) today announced that it will enforce the UNC-sponsored 48-hour bandh in Chandel district.
Talking to reporters here, Ws Kanral Anal said that the bandh will be imposed from midnight of June 16 to midnight of June 18 along NH 102 from Khangshim to Moreh and Chandel district head quarter as well as along the road of Chandel-Chakpikarong via Khambathel and Beru Wangkhera village.
CNPO president appealed to all Associations of Truck and Shaktiman, Buses, Tata Sumo-DI and Auto-rickshaws and the private vehicles for extending cooperation by staying off the road during the bandh.
However, the President informed that educational institutions, Press and media, PHED, Medical, electricity departments will be exempted from the purview of the proposed bandh.
